Trail description

Ena, 2,191 m, is the southernmost peak of the Central Alps on the border of Nagano and Gifu and one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. This out-and-back route starts at the Hirogawara car park, walks 1.8 km up the forest road to the trailhead and climbs a long forested ridge to the summit, 11.9 km with about 1,070 m of climbing. The top is surrounded by tall conifers, so the views are limited.
