Trail description

Daibosatsu, 2,057 m, stands in Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park above Koshu in Yamanashi and is one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. This route climbs from Kamihikawa Pass to the main ridge and follows it past the Kaminari-iwa rock to the forested summit. The open ridge between Daibosatsu Pass and Kaminari-iwa gives wide views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps. The slopes are a well-known spot for autumn colours in mid to late October.
