Trail description
From Bomura in the Katsura valley, by the Myooin temple, the trail climbs about 900 m through cedar and beech forest over Gotenyama to the open, grassy summit of Mount Bunagatake (1,214 m), the highest peak of the Hira mountains, with views over Lake Biwa. The lower part of the ridge climbs steeply through the forest.
