Trail description

A 2.7 km loop with about 250 m of climbing from the foot of Mount Bizan in Tokushima up to its summit park, where a Burmese-style pagoda and the Moraes Museum stand, and back down. The name Bizan is written with the characters for eyebrow and mountain, said to be because the mountain looks like an eyebrow from every direction, and it is regarded as the symbol of Tokushima City. The top gives an almost 360 degree view, and on a clear day Awaji Island and Wakayama Prefecture across the Kii Strait can be seen. The pagoda honours soldiers who died in the Second World War, and the mountain is well known for its cherry blossom.
