Trail description

From the trailhead at Amakazari Kogen above Otari the trail climbs through beech forest and up a steep ridge to the twin summits of Mount Amakazari (1,963 m), one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, with views to the Sea of Japan and the Northern Alps. The upper slopes have alpine flowers in summer, and the road to the trailhead is closed in winter.
