Trail description

A 3.5 km circuit with about 470 m of climbing from the Komagatake trailhead by Lake Ono over Komagatake to Kurobi-yama, 1,828 m, the highest point of Mount Akagi, and back down to the lake. Akagi is a broad stratovolcano rising above the north end of the Kanto Plain. Its elliptical summit caldera, 3 km by 4 km, holds lava domes and Lake Ono.
