Lake Tanuki Walk

Trail description

Lake Tanuki is a reservoir on the Asagiri plateau at the western foot of Mount Fuji in Fujinomiya, in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. This short walk follows the lakeside path, part of the roughly 3.3 km circuit of the lake. The lake was a marsh until 1935, when it was enlarged as an irrigation reservoir. It is a popular spot for photographing Mount Fuji reflected in the water.
