Trail description
From the Shirakoma-no-ike parking in the northern Yatsugatake a boardwalk leads through a moss-carpeted forest to Lake Shirakoma, at about 2,100 m one of the highest lakes of its size in Japan, and the loop circles the lake shore past two huts. The forest is famous for its hundreds of kinds of moss.
