Trail description
From the Fujinomiya Fifth Station on Mount Fuji the walk climbs to the huts at the Sixth Station and traverses across volcanic sand to the floor of the first Hoei crater, a huge crater blasted out of the flank of Fuji by its last eruption in 1707, and returns the same way. The road to the Fifth Station and the trails are open from July to early September.
