Fushimi Inari Mountain Trail

Trail description

A 1.9 km climb of about 170 m from the main hall of Fushimi Inari-taisha through the Senbon Torii and the tunnels of vermilion gates to the top of Mount Inari, 233 m. The shrine is the head shrine of the kami Inari and was formally founded in 711. The trails up the mountain pass many smaller shrines and take about two hours to walk up.
