Trail description

A short climb from the Prato delle Macinaie ski area through beech woods to the 1,738 m summit of Monte Amiata, the old volcano of southern Tuscany, with its large iron cross. About 6.4 km out and back with some 360 m of climbing; the path crosses the summit road twice.
