Sentiero Italia: dal Rifugio Margaroli a Formazza

Trail description

A stage of the Sentiero Italia in the Val Formazza, from the Rifugio Margaroli at the Alpe Vannino over the Passo di Nefelgiù (2,583 m) and down past Sotto Frua and the Walser hamlets of Canza and Brendo to Ponte, the main village of Formazza. About 14 km; the last part follows roads into Ponte. The pass is high: go in settled weather, as snow can linger into early summer.
