Trail description
A 5.6 km walk with about 305 m of climbing from Passo Giau below Ra Gusela and Nuvolau to the Rifugio Averau at Forcella Nuvolau, then over Forcella Averau. The refuge, at 2,413 m in the Cinque Torri group, stands on the boundary of Cortina d'Ampezzo and Colle Santa Lucia. The first building here was a one-room wooden hut from the late 19th century, replaced by a stone house in 1903.
