Trail description
A 7.2 km climb of about 900 m from Assisi past the Eremo delle Carceri, where Saint Francis prayed, through holm oak woods to the open grassy top of Monte Subasio at 1,290 m. The summit plateau looks over the Umbrian valley. The first part follows roads out of the town.
