Trail description

A 5.2 km walk with about 400 m of climbing from Prato Piazza (Plätzwiese) on old military tracks to Monte Specie (Strudelkopf) at 2,307 m. The grassy summit faces the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Cristallo and the Croda Rossa across the Val di Landro. The road to Prato Piazza is closed to cars in high season, when a bus runs from Carbonin and Braies.
