Trail description
Flat walk through the seaside resort of Marina di Ginosa on the Ionian coast of Puglia, along the pine-shaded Viale della Pineta and the Lungomare Dottor Luigi Strada behind the long sandy beach on the Gulf of Taranto. The village was planned as a model rural settlement in the 1950s and named Marina di Ginosa in 1958. Its beach has held the Blue Flag almost every year since 2004, backed by pinewoods and Mediterranean scrub. To the north-east, the Lago Salinella lagoon at the old mouth of the Bradano is a good spot for migrating birds.
