Lago Vivo

Trail description

A 7.1 km climb of about 580 m from the village of Barrea over the Valico di Barrea and up the K4 path to the Lago Vivo at about 1,590 m, in the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. The lake lies in a karst glacial hollow below Monte Petroso, 2,249 m, the park's highest peak. In summer it loses much of the water that fills it after the snowmelt.
