Trail description
A 9.7 km loop around Lake Molveno below the Brenta Dolomites in Trentino, mostly level with about 200 m of climbing. The lakeside path crosses wooden bridges, including the old Ponte Romano, and passes the remains of Napoleonic-era forts. From Molveno the Pradel cable car climbs to about 1,500 m for trails into the Brenta group, part of the Dolomites World Heritage Site. Brown bears live in this area: make some noise as you walk, keep dogs on a lead and never approach a bear.
