Gola dell'Infernaccio ed Eremo di San Leonardo

Trail description

A 5.8 km loop with about 340 m of climbing from the car park below Rubbiano into the Gola dell'Infernaccio, a narrow limestone gorge of the Tenna river in the Sibillini mountains, and up to the Eremo di San Leonardo al Volubrio, a hermitage rebuilt stone by stone by a single monk, then back down. The gorge path is shady and can be wet. It is in the Monti Sibillini National Park.
