Trail description

The route starts near the locality of Gazzolo, in the hills of Zone east of Lake Iseo, and follows lanes and then a hiking path up the south side of the Corna Trentapassi to its summit cross, without using the via ferrata on the north face. The limestone peak stands apart from the surrounding Prealps and juts out towards the lake, so despite its modest height the summit is a noted viewpoint over Lake Iseo, the Valle Camonica and Monte Guglielmo. Vegetation on the mountain is sparse, especially on its bare southern slope. The Italian name is a mistaken rendering of the Brescian dialect name Trè Tapàs, meaning 'three spikes', a fitting description of the mountain, rather than 'thirty steps'. The walk is about 4.3 km one way, with some 590 m of climbing.
