Stage 5 of the Alta Via 2 of the Aosta Valley, from Planaval (1,554 m) above Arvier into the Valgrisenche to the Rifugio Chalet de l'Epée (2,370 m). About a third of the stage is on roads through the valley. Book the huts ahead in summer.
