Trail description
Bayr ny Skeddan, the Herring Road, is the old route of Manx fishermen between Castletown and Peel, about 14 miles long. It follows the Silverburn up to Ballasalla and Silverdale Glen, climbs through the Cringle plantation to about 310 m at the Round Table below South Barrule, then drops through the hills to Glen Maye and follows the coast path into Peel.
