Trail description
The Ballaugh Curragh is a wetland of willow scrub and marsh, one of the richest wildlife sites on the island and home to a famous winter roost of hen harriers. This level loop starts at the Close Sartfield reserve, visits the bird observatory hide and circles the curragh on quiet lanes and footpaths by the Killane River. A peaceful walk for birdwatchers and nature lovers.
