Cratloe Woods

Trail description

A loop on the forest roads of Cratloe Wood, the Coillte forest on the hillside above Cratloe village in County Clare, between Limerick and Shannon. From the Cratloe Woods car park and playground the walk climbs gently east on the Central Access Road, circles the upper forest on gravel forest roads and comes back along a gravel path past two viewpoints over the Shannon estuary. Coillte notes that some minor trails are still closed after storm damage, so follow the signs on site.
