Brackloon Wood

Trail description

A surviving fragment of ancient oak woodland south of Westport in County Mayo. The looped trail winds through gnarled mossy oaks and past an old clapper bridge over a stream. A peaceful remnant of the forests that once cloaked the west of Ireland.
