Trail description

The lower stages of the paved pilgrim route up Mount Lawu from the Cemoro Sewu trailhead on the Java border. Stone steps climb through mossy forest past shelters used by overnight climbers. Lawu is a sacred mountain with a long tradition of pilgrimage.
