Trail description

The Gunung Putri route up Mount Gede in Gede Pangrango National Park, through montane forest to the edelweiss meadow of Surya Kencana and on to the 2,958 m crater rim. About 14.3 km out and back with some 1,460 m of climbing; most walkers take two days and camp at Surya Kencana. Climbers must book online with the national park, which closes the mountains in the wet season.
