Mount Andong

Trail description

A short climb near Kopeng, Magelang, from the entrance booth at Dusun Sawit (about 1,320 m) to the summit ridge of Gunung Andong in about an hour, then along the narrow ridge to Puncak Alap-alap, with views of Merbabu, Merapi, Telomoyo, Sumbing and Sindoro. A small entrance fee is paid at Sawit; the ridge is busy with campers at weekends.
