Trail description

The shorter climb of Bali's sacred volcano, from Pura Pasar Agung temple up steep rock and loose scree to the crater rim of Mount Agung, setting off around midnight to arrive for sunrise over Rinjani. A licensed local guide is required, and the mountain closes for major temple ceremonies and when the volcano is restless. Dress respectfully at the temples.
