Nongriat Double Decker Root Bridge

Trail description

A descent of about 3,500 steps from Tyrna village near Cherrapunji through jungle and over steel suspension bridges to the village of Nongriat and its Double Decker Living Root Bridge, two stacked bridges grown from rubber fig roots by the Khasi people. The climb back up is steep and humid. Many walkers stay a night in Nongriat to visit the Rainbow Falls.
