Trail description

Bhrigu Lake lies at around 4,300 m in Kullu district, east of the Rohtang Pass, and is named after the sage Bhrigu, who is said to have meditated beside it. This route climbs to the lake from Vashisht, the village above Manali known for its hot springs, one of the two usual starting points. The path gains well over 2,000 m through forest and then high meadows, so most walkers take it over two days and should allow for the altitude. The other approach comes from Gulaba on the Rohtang road, about 6 km from the lake.
