Ali and Bedni Bugyal from Wan

Trail description

A 10 km climb of about 1,330 m from Wan in Chamoli up through oak and rhododendron forest to Ali Bugyal and on to Bedni Bugyal, among the largest high meadows of the Himalaya at about 3,600 m, with views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. It usually takes two days. Overnight camping on the bugyals themselves has been restricted by court order since 2018, so check the current rules with the forest office.
