Vök Urriðavatn Lake Walk

Trail description

A 1.4 km walk from the Vök Baths on Urriðavatn, northwest of Egilsstaðir, climbing about 65 m on the slope above the lake. Vök, opened in 2019, has Iceland's first floating pools, fed by 75 °C water from hot springs beneath the lake. Its name means an ice-free hole in a frozen lake, after the spots of Urriðavatn that never freeze.
