Trail description

A short 0.4 km walk through the Hverir geothermal field at the foot of Námafjall, east of Mývatn. Steaming fumaroles, bubbling mud pools and red, yellow and white ground surround the path, and at 1,000 m depth the temperature is above 200 °C. Stay on the marked paths, as the ground is unstable and very hot.
