Hoffell Valley Walk

Trail description

A 1.3 km walk of about 25 m of climbing in the Hoffell area of south-east Iceland, about 15 km from Hofn. The area is known for the outlet glacier Hoffellsjokull and for gabbro, a rock formed deep in the crust and exposed here by uplift and glacial erosion. It has marked hiking trails and is part of Vatnajokull National Park.
