Fardagafoss Trail

Trail description

A steep 1 km climb of about 130 m on the path up to Fardagafoss, the waterfall just east of Egilsstadir. The path is mapped as demanding mountain hiking, so good footwear is needed. Egilsstadir, on the banks of the Lagarfljot, is the largest town in East Iceland and was founded in 1947 as a service centre for the surrounding farms.
