Trail description
Dynjandi in Arnarfjörður is the largest waterfall system in the Westfjords, a trapezoid cascade about 100 m high, roughly 30 m wide at the top and 60 m at the bottom. This short, rocky path from the car park, built by volunteers in 1996, climbs about 100 m in 0.7 km past the smaller falls below it, such as Hundafoss and Bæjarfoss, to the foot of the main fall. The falls have been a protected natural monument since 1981, so stay on the marked path to protect the fragile vegetation.
