Trail description
A short 0.7 km loop at Deildartunguhver in Reykholtsdalur, the highest-flow hot spring in Europe. Water emerges at 97 degrees at about 180 litres a second, and some of it is piped 34 km to Borgarnes and 64 km to Akranes for heating. The fern Struthiopteris fallax, found nowhere else in the world, grows at the spring.
