Brennisteinsalda from Landmannalaugar

Trail description

From the hut and hot pool at Landmannalaugar the path crosses the Laugahraun lava field and climbs Brennisteinsalda (881 m), the colourful sulphur mountain at the start of the Laugavegur trail. Steam vents and yellow, red and green rhyolite slopes line the way, with views over the Fjallabak reserve.
