Bjarnarfoss Waterfall

Trail description

A short 0.7 km path from the Snaefellsnes road toward Bjarnarfoss, about 4 km from Budir on the south side of the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The waterfall drops about 80 m in two tiers over a basalt cliff with visible basalt columns, formed by the extinct volcano Maelifell. In strong winds the upper tier can be blown back upwards.
