Parque Nacional Celaque Cerro Las Minas

Trail description

The ascent to Cerro Las Minas, the highest point in Honduras at over 2800 meters, starting from the Villa Verde visitor center near Gracias. The trail climbs through the cloud forest of Celaque National Park, passing through moss-covered oaks and giant ferns up to the summit. A demanding journey that is usually split into two days with camping in the forest.
