Trail description
The southern ascent of Pantokrator, the highest mountain in Corfu, from the village of Spartilas. The marked Corfu Paths route climbs between olive groves and Mediterranean scrub, then crosses the large karst plateau near the top. The summit carries telecommunications antennas and the traditional monastery of Ipsilos Pantokrator, and on clear days the view reaches from Kefalonia to the coast of Italy. Expect steep sections, narrow paths and prickly bushes, so wear sturdy shoes and long trousers.
