Trail description

A long, steady climb from the village of Gardiki to Kakarditsa, at 2,429 m the highest peak of the Tzoumerka mountains. The route is uphill all the way, first through forested slopes to the Prodromos plateau. From there a harder second ascent crosses bare, rocky ground to the summit. The best season is from May to November.
