Trail description

The red trail of the Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park, from the information centre near Dadia up to the Gibrena peak at about 520 m. The park rates it as a moderate uphill walk of about two and a half hours through black pine and oak forest. On the top are the ruins of a Byzantine castle and a wide view over the protected area. Dadia is one of the last refuges in Europe for black and griffon vultures, so watch the sky for raptors.
