Trail description

The climb from the Astraka refuge to Gamila, at 2,497 m the highest summit of Mount Tymfi. The marked path crosses the high ground of the massif to the summit ridge. The round trip takes about 5 to 5.5 hours from the refuge. The best season is May to October, when the upper slopes are usually free of snow.
