Trail description

A 1.2 km walk to Nea Moni, the 11th-century monastery on Mount Provateio in the interior of Chios, about 15 km from Chios town. The complex, now a convent and museum, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1990. Its mosaics rank with those of Daphni and Hosios Loukas among the finest of their period.
