Astypalea Chora to Livadi

Trail description

A short 2.2 km walk from the hilltop Chora of Astypalea down about 100 m of steep slope to the beach at Livadi. The edge of the Chora is lined with a row of eight restored windmills, and the Venetian Querini castle crowns the hill above the white houses. Livadi below is one of the island's few organised beaches, with tavernas and a green valley of gardens behind the sand.
