Ano Syros

Trail description

A 1.2 km climb of about 160 m, largely on steps, from Miaouli Square in Ermoupoli up to the Catholic church of Agios Georgios on top of Ano Syros. Ano Syros is the medieval town of the island, densely built with narrow lanes like a fortified citadel, and is home to Catholic Greeks. The church was first built in 1208 and has been destroyed and rebuilt three times.
