Agia Zoni Monastery and Profitis Ilias Loop (Samos)

Trail description

A circular official Samos route from the monastery of Agia Zoni in the Vlamari valley, east of Samos town, up to the hilltop chapel of Profitis Ilias and back. The trail climbs through pine forest with views over the eastern end of the island, and the northern slope below Profitis Ilias is covered in tall oak and pine. The loop is about 9 km. A 1.5 km connecting path from Profitis Ilias shortens it by 3.5 km.
