Trail description
A 6.3 km walk in the Lüneburger Heide nature reserve from the hikers' car park at Niederhaverbeck on the Heidschnuckenweg over the flat top of the Wilseder Berg (169 m) to the heath village of Wilsede, then south to the Totengrund. This basin of about 30 ha, probably shaped in the Ice Age and covered in heather and juniper, is with the Wilseder Berg one of the best-known parts of the Lüneburger Heide, and paths along its upper rim give a good view over it.
